The brief for the QSR here was tied to the product- an Italy-inspired bread pocket with gourmet fillings championing different flavour profiles from across the globe. The outlet opening was designed to to be evocative of a traditional pizza oven sucking people off the sidewalk into the belly of the baking experience (which involved watertight designing around equipment sizes in the kitchen). Warm grey bricks were used in different ways and patterns, married with charcoal metal mesh elements for a contemporary touch. The waiting area was given a false ceiling composed of wood chips encased in a metal cage-inspired by traditional firewood storage for ovens and the like. The entire scheme was brought together by a white mud textured palette.
