Moti Mahal Delux

The idea for this brief was to focus on blending a more contemporary aesthetic with Indian elements, thereby uplifting the Indian fine dine experience. Touches of global chic, smart lines and curves were brought into play with the use of elements like the customized chandelier and finished-to-plaster coffered arches that utilize a soft play of focussed light and shade. Stark contrast, like that of shrubby trees against bare brick walls, adds the necessary amount of drama to an otherwise bare interior. Spatially speaking, a circular seating layout was optimized with booth style high backs to create nooks of privacy and passages in a tightly packed plan for maximizing functionality.
